Adults with Cystic Fibrosis, 16 to 65 years old
Seasonal vaccine (once a year). Most brands - 0.5 mL (Fluzone - 0.25 mL, Fluzone Intradermal - 0.1 mL). One dose.
Prevention of Influenza infection, symptoms and complications.
Unclear. It does evoke immune system response, but it is not clear if this response brings actual benefits (prevention of flu symptoms and flu complications).
Unclear. More research needed. The studies resulted high frequency of side effects, but none were life threatening or persistent. Irritating side effects include: soreness, redness, and/or swelling from the shot; headache, fever, cough, nausea, muscle aches, itching, sore eyes.
